Bulletproof Agency Network

Manchester’s leading professional services firms have joined forces to launch “The Bulletproof Agency Network”.

The network, set to launch at Prolific North Live 2017, is a unique and innovative network designed to provide practical, commercial advice to the North’s creative, digital and technology sector.

The founders are Mike Henderson of RiskBoxUK, a specialist insurance broker, Paul Barnes of MyAccountancyPlace, a boutique accountancy practice and Steve Kuncewicz of Slater and Gordon, a leading law firm with a niche specialism in working with clients in the creative sector.

The Bulletproof Agency Network will provide events, tools and resources specifically for the creative, digital and media sector, led by its signature podcast.

Leading figures from agencies, public sector bodies and in-house teams will take part in live interviews at Prolific North Live 2017 on February 15th – 16th, hosted by former BBC presenter and communications expert Andy Johnson.

Steve Kuncewicz, lawyer at Slater and Gordon, said: “After working with Mike and Paul for longer than I’d care to remember, pooling our resources and experience was a natural fit.

“I’m hugely excited to be launching The Bulletproof Agency Network alongside two partners who well and truly “get it”, and looking forward to sharing the experience of our clients and guests through the podcast, our website and events calendar.”

Guests include Formisimo’s Al Mackin, AHOY Creative’s Mark Stringer, MediaCom’s Erica Ingham, Tunafish Media’s Ric Brooks, BusinessGrowthHub’s Katie Peate, ReturnOnDigital’s Guy Levine and DreamR’s Mylo Kaye.

Audiences and subscribers will be treated to a lively mix of debate, war stories and advice designed to give a real and valuable insight into what makes agencies and the sector tick, with the podcast going live on iTunes shortly after the event.

Mike Henderson, founder at Riskbox, said: “Whilst walking my dogs around the block with only podcasts for company, I found that there are plenty of good ones, but there’s nothing specific for the creative sector and having recorded a couple of trial runs at our own, it became clear that we could set up a platform for entrepreneurs in the sector to share ideas and pool our own in one place.

“We’re trying to help businesses realise their ideas, and to grow, sustain and succeed in a slightly different format. If we can, then we’ll be a success.”
In showcasing some of the North’s most successful agency owners and asking them questions on the secrets of their success, lessons learned along the way and the key drivers behind their growth, The Bulletproof Agency Network aims to leverage experience, insight and practical advice to make its own contribution to the sector.

The Bulletproof Agency Network has big plans for 2017, including keynotes at Prolific North Live and the launch of a dedicated website and Twitter feed where agencies can let them know first-hand what they want and need to build a program of events, content and advice that deals with the challenges that they face every day, regardless of size or sector specialism.

Mike, Paul and Steve have years of experience in putting teams of professionals together around their clients, and are putting this one together to ensure that their mutual clients can benefit from their years of specialism and experience of working with some of the North’s most dynamic, innovative and successful creative entrepreneurs and get the very best commercial and technical advice to help their businesses scale, and do so sustainably.

Paul Barnes, founder at MyAccountancyPlace, said: “Through attending Manchester’s many informal networking events, I’ve been lucky enough to listen to and learn from some of the leaders of the creative field. What we hope to achieve through The Bulletproof Agency Network is to give them access to content which will inspire and help them grow.”
